Is it possible to sue my high school bully who immigrated to the U.S. last year? and how much is it gonna cost me?
I was bullied during high school between Dec 1999 and May 2002 by six bullies both physically and verbally on daily basis.
This may sound funny but Bullying has long term effect that most people don't understand
Possibly but not after more than the statute of limitations from your 18th birthday has passed and it sounds like it would have.

New York State has a law that prohibits school bullying. The Dignity for All Students (DASA) protects students from bullying in all New York State public schools and charter schools. Victims of bullying report incidents to school officials and request a DASA investigation. The school is required to conduct an investigation, and if there has been bullying, take actions to prevent further bullying. So if you are a victim of bullying, report it to the school principal and request a DASA investigation.
If the bullying includes physical assaults on you, you can also file a formal report with your local police department.
