The person got a dui in my car. He wanted to drive so I wouldn't get a dui. He's trying to get me the fines... is there any way he could come after me to get money?
He would be responsible for his own fines. Tell him to retain a local DUI lawyer to fight it. Avvo has a great lawyer finder tool to locate an attorney close to your home. Good luck.
He was driving, he chose to drive - for whatever reason - he got caught. It is his problem - good luck!
If he got into an accident, you may be liable for something. If not, he chose to drive, so he's responsible for all his fees.
He is responsible for his DUI fines and penalties. He should get an experienced DUI defense attorney to represent him.
The only way that you would bear some responsibility is if hit got involved in an accident. As the registered owner you would have the potential of liability per the statutory limits.
