I am J1 without two years home residency requirement. I submitted my papers for AOS (I-130 and I 485) through marriage. I am currently maintaining my J1 visa working. I would like to know if I can wait for the work permitted. I received the notification for all the AOS on Nov 29th. I did my Biometrics on Dec. 21st. I would like to know what status I am. And I could finish my J1 period resigning my job.
You can continue working if you wish to do so; otherwise can safely "resign" and stop working, if that's what you want.
