I am trying to fill in DS-160 for my VISA Interview application. Currently, I am in the USA and my H1-B was approved (came here on F-1 VISA and got H1B, so never been to my country after getting my H1B approved). I have plans to go to my country and get a VISA stamping. While filling the DS-160, there are two questions, 1. about Immediate Relatives. If we answer that as No (since I don't have any IRs in the USA) there is another question related to other relatives in the United States. I have a distant cousin (my mom side - different family name) in the USA. Should I mention Yes or it doesn't matter. Will this (for the answer as Yes) effect my VISA stamping chances? or Since he is my cousin (who can't sponsor me to become a potential immigrant) this will not impact my stamping process.
A cousin (who can't sponsor a potential immigrant) should not impact a H1B stamping process unless not disclosed and should have been on prior visas.
