I am a realestate investor and was told by a delivery agent in the U.K. that he will facilitate a 10M investment with a Chinese investor. The delivery agent says there is a 1% fee of $10M due before delivering funds.
This is a typical upfront money scam. I do know believe there is such as a thing as a "Diplomat delivery agent" nor would the British foreign office be involved in a private real estate deal. How did you first meet this person asking for the money? Did you respond to a post on a site like LinkedIn which offered project financing?
This sounds like a common Internet scam. All we are missing is a Nigerian prince.
