I got arrested for DUI / Drug alcohol misdemeanor back in 2017. I didn't appear to court and recently got rebooked and reprocessed for a new court date on 11/29(Bond was 50,000) when I looked at inmate paper but was cite and release. Are these hearings anything i should be concerned about as in worrying that I would go back to jail for something like this? This is my first offense I was just worried on the outcome.
Regardless of the misdemeanor charge (which isn't clear from the question) you are looking at jail time; you should probably contact a local lawyer and discuss the case.
This answer is not legal advice, it may not even be relevant to the question answered, it definitely is does not establish an attorney/client relationship.
Yes, you need to contact an attorney immediately. California recognizes many "Alternatives" to custody and your DUI attorney will know which one best match your facts and circumstances.
Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.
