I'm preparing a contract for a freelancer to sign over the rights of their work (which i paid them to create). Since the freelancer is operating in an online marketplace such as Upwork, should I use their username or given name in the contract?
Contracts generally use the parties' legal names. It may be appropriate to also reference the username if that helps describe the content that is being assigned. It is best to have an attorney draft any work for hire agreement to ensure it is enforceable.
