How can a person get his civil court records sealed ? People are judgmental. Even records where you win a civil case can be accessed by companies doing job background checks and used against you for a number of reasons. If one is falsely accused of shoplifting and the case is dropped you still would unfairly have a file. People don't care about the outcome at times but just the charge. What is the procedure to seal or have that file erased and not accessible ?
If you are talking about a criminal misdemeanor charge and were not convicted, then you are probably talking about expungement.
