Unfortunately, Mr. Smith from Ohio is incorrect. The 10 year look back period starts on date of arrest on the current offense.
So, take your arrest date on this case and go back 10 years. I'm assuming your "last" DUI will fall in that period. As such, you are at least a 2nd time offender on this sentencing.
