I was arrested on September 19,2017 for retail fraud. I was accused of switching price and concealing merchandise. I did not do this, I even heard the security guard say to the other security guard that he wasn't sure if he saw it or not. I have never been in trouble in my life. I'm 45 years old and if I'm charged with a misdemeanor I will be fired from my 27 yr job. I spent 48 hours in jail and released and never given a court date ticket or nothing. I just received a letter today saying to appear in court for a arraignment. What should I do? I'm innocent. I have no money for a attorney.
You should go to the arraignment, plead not guilty, and ask the court to appoint an attorney.
