My employer has applied for my H1b in this year's lottery and I am awaiting the results whether it is picked or not. I am on F1 visa and my I94 says valid till D/S. I am planning to renew my passport. Is it a good idea to renew at this time when H1b is applied? or what is the best time to renew? My Passport expires in March 2020 but I was thinking to renew sooner so as if my H1b gets approved, I can get stamp on my new passport in december. They wont accept old passport in dec as it would expire in next 3 months
