I filed for divorce in late May and I’m currently waiting on the judge to sign off on the paperwork. I spoke with the lawyer today and they said their part is done, they are just waiting on the judge. Can I get married to my current spouse now or do I have to wait?
You have an attorney so you need to ask her/him. It's not proper to fish for other answers from attorneys while you are represented.
Neither the receipt by this attorney nor a reply from this attorney constitutes the initiation of an attorney-client relationship. The fact that we may have responded to an inquiry from you does not mean that we represent you in any legal matter. An attorney-client relationship can only be created through the mutual execution of an engagement agreement.
