I live in an complex that allows dogs. The neighbor next door to me adopted a small dog and it's temperament is terrible. Every time they come and go with it, it explodes into a barking fit and my door is just inches away from theirs. So whatever I'm doing, talking on the phone, trying to listen to something, I can't hear. I have been awakened by this loud yelping, too, and my bdrm is situated in the the front of the building near the door. I can shut my bdrm door for some relief but in summer, the AC in the living room won't reach into a closed-off bdrm and I can't have the window open, either with this situation. It will be unlivable in a top floor apt that gets very hot. I talked to this neighbor a few weeks ago and suggested a quieting collar and she wanted no part of that. I told her to speak to the landladies here for advice and she didn't. When I spoke with her she held the dog in her arms and it growled at every passerby in the parking lot. I'm actually nervous about stepping outside of my apt at the same time this fierce little dog is out there on the porch. I have told the landlady that this isn't working. What are my rights?
