We are in a commercial district.. Our neighbor does not have a drainage system when it rains or snows.
It puddles so high until it floods out their business. So they installed a pump to retract the water to drain through OUR property.. In the meantime, when the pump comes on, our customers are walking through 2-3 inches of flowing water as it runs through our parking lot.. And in the winter, it freezes.. I'm worried someone is going to slip and fall on the ice and I'm going to be subject to lawsuit due to their actions. Is it legal for them to pump onto our property?
I have changed the practice area to land use. Use the find lawyer tab and search for land use or property law attorneys in your area. This is not right what they are doing. However, you will need an attorney to get things right.
Wishing you the best.
