I am awaiting judgment on divorce trial- paying for mortgage and all bills - wife is residing in marital home until judgment - I am staying elsewhere till I buy her out. Am I required to open and maintain the swimming pool for her during this time or is this over and above necessary expenses? She says if I do not open the pool and charge tractor battery so she can mow lawn she will hire out to get these things done and send me the bills both for pool and landscaping service. She is boarderline personality disorder and was recently hospitalized - reason I can’t stay at marital home.
You are not responsible for doing or paying for those things. They are not necessary and fall on the responsibility of the person residing there unless there is an agreement or order otherwise.
