and his 6th year h1b expires after 2 days,he wants to go back to home
country and he needs couple of months to pack and sell

He is planning to apply for extension for 3 months through B2 visa option
so that he doesnt have any problem for future entries.
since short of time can he apply electronically for B2 visa for him
and his wife?do you think they still have time to apply?
what are the documents need to be submitted and what is the process
for him and wife to apply immediately?

Although his time is very limited, he should still consult with an attorney to make sure that he provides sufficient proof. This will help to ensure that his case has all the required documentation.
Nothing like leaving these things to the last minute, but if they are not ready to go, they should immediately submit form I-539 online and ask for B visitor status to get themselves prepared to leave. I must recommend having a lawyer do this to maximize your chances of success. It takes at least 2 - 3 months to get a decision on a change to a B, and if the case is denied, so long as it was filed timely and is not frivolous, the applicant is considered in valid status until the decision is made. This will get them the time they need.
