I married with an American citizen and have applied for the I-485 form, however,I divorced just before the greed card interview. Then I submit the I-360 form on the day of green card interview and my layer asked the immigration officer to retain my application of the i-485 form. My I-360 form was approved last month. Could you please tell me whether I need to re-submit my I-485 form? I also want to know the expiration date of the I-360 form. And I renewed my Employment Authorization Document more than two months ago but I have not received any response. Do I need to renew it again? I would appreciate any kind help. Thanks!
Why don't you first talk to your lawyer about this before getting opinions or other attorneys who know nothing about you or your situation ?
You do not need to submit another I-485. It usually takes about 90 days to renew your EAD.
Mr. Shusterman's (former INS Trial Attorney, 1976-82) response to your question is general in nature, as not all the facts are known to him. You should retain an attorney experienced in immigration law to review all the facts in your case in order to receive advice specific to your case. Mr. Shusterman's statement above does not create an attorney/client relationship.
