Tenant sent letter stating he would be out of the property completely by a certain date. Tenant did move out by that day. The neighbors said he keeps coming by after dark. I have no idea why. After I cleaned yesterday, I left my vacuum on the porch and when I got to the property today, the vacuum was the only thing missing. Neighbor said he saw him. How do I keep previous tenant off the property. I have posted no trespassing signs. I have no forwarding address.
If the tenancy has ended and the prior-tenant has not right to access the property then he is a trespasser. You can report him to law enforcement like you would any other trespasser.

I agree with Mr. Hawkins and you should report the theft and your information about the tenant on the property to law enforcement.
