On May 5, 2016, we transferred your Form CRI-89, Petition to Remove Conditions of Permanent Resident Status Received, Receipt Number WAC15xxxxxxx, to another USCIS office. That office now has jurisdiction over your case. We sent you a notice that explains why we moved your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your notice by June 4, 2016, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address
You should read the notice when you receive it and then determine what is happening.
The above is intended only as general information, and does not constitute legal advice. You must speak with an attorney to discuss your individual case.
Transfer notices often explain the reason for the transfer. It may be just a workload management issue, or perhaps the office determined that it did not have jurisdictions over your case. See what it says.
Read the notice when you receive it. There are several reasons for transfer.
Attorney Robert Brown's (former INS Director, 1972-99) reply to your question is general in nature, and does not constitute legal advice as all facts are known to him. For specific advice or representation you should retain an attorney experienced in immigration law. Mr. Brown's reply on AVVO does not create an attorney/client relationship not constitute legal advice.
If this was an abuse/waiver case, it's probably being sent back to Vermont before they issue your card. Not unusual.
Answers provided by Ksenia Maiorova, Esq. on Avvo.com are of a general nature and do not constitute legal advice.
Likely a caseload management issue. There are various service centers that can decide these cases. Since you had your interview and were told it was approved, you are likely just waiting to receive your card in the mail. As your notice indicated, if you do not receive anything by the date indicated, you can do a case-inquiry online to see what is going on.
