So my mother got 2 parking tickets, they are both not a big amount but it's deff enough money to pay 3 bills in our house. I think they wrote the wrong plate number (the ticket was hand written) and it just happens to be my moms plate number. We went to complain because 1. it's in a place we've never been to 2. it's the wrong color of car 3. the VIN number doesn't match. We went to complain and to try to fix this and we just received 2 letters saying it was declined! The ticket is for a white motor-home and my mom has a small blue Nissan. I don't know what the next step
I believe you can set the matter for a hearing. That is what you should do. Most attorneys do not handle parking ticket matters.

Sounds like the next step is to pay the tickets.

Parking tickets are a mess to challenge and it is typically not cost-effective for most attorneys to take these cases on.
In this case, you will need to take the matter to court in front of an actual judge (not some type of administrative hearing) to plead your case. You will likely need a detailed history of your mother's license plate to show it has never been registered to the car that was cited.
