My husband is being accused of being the father of a child. My husband is denying it but the mom keep pushing him to provide for the child. She asked him to sign the birth certificate which my husband said no, then she asked for money, which we said no too. We asked her to proceed and start the paternity test but she keeps saying it’s not necessary and he should take care because it’s his responsibility. However she’s asking him to sign a form to give his parental rights away. Is that even possible? my husband never signed anything to confirm he’s the father of this child.
Your husband should continue to refuse to sign anything this woman provides to him. She has the right to request a paternity petition, but until she does, leave her alone.
