I am disabled and legally seperated.My ex husbAnd works. I owe ssi and they took half of whAt I owe from his taxes.My ex was very upset about this is there a wAy to exclude him from what I owe?We are divorcing soon and I don’t want them to continue tO take his tax.
Your soon to be ex can file as an "aggrieved spouse" to get back any tax lien that was placed on his income when you filed jointly. He should consult an accountant or lawyer, you can't do anything for him, he has to do it.
