I live in Missouri, but in Illinois I was charge with:
-Attempted Armed Robbery
-Unlawful Use of a Weapon
-2 counts of Burglary
I have not finished trial, it's just begun but I was wondering what the outcome may be and if I could get anything expunged.
you need to consult with a local attorney, who will be able to tell you exactly what you are looking at. As far as sealing or expungement, it will depend on what happens with the cases. Call a good attorney in Illinois. Good Luck.
The minimum/maximum terms of imprisonment depend on what class of felony you have been charged with and whether you have any criminal background. A criminal background could result in an enhanced sentence. Since you are on trial, I assume you are being represented. Make sure to ask your lawyer to explain in detail the terms of imprisonment you could face, should you be found guilty.
This response does not serve to initiate an attorney/client relationship or privilege and should not be construed as a consultation. Make sure to contact an attorney and establish an agreement before taking any further action.
Your are probably looking at a minimum of six years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. Perhaps four if your lucky. No expunging that. Hire a good lawyer.
