I was driving today in Rhode Island going 67 in a 40, the cop moved it down to a 50 in a 40. I have had my license suspended in Massachusetts where I live for a failure to yield, Jol breaking and damage to property. Is there a way I could fight this out of state ticket, also would this out of state violation get my license suspended again? I am currently a minor
You should appeal the citation. If you’re found responsible for speeding and you’re the holder of a JOL, you’re looking at a 90 day suspension of your Massachusetts license and having to take 2 classes as well as the written and road tests to get reinstated in Massachusetts. You will have a $500.00 reinstatement fee.

Please re-read your question. Your driving is exactly why these laws are essential to protect public safety. You have already violated your JOL provisions and had your license suspended and then drove 67 in a 40 mph. This tells the Mass RMV that you are not learning anything from your first suspension and your continuing to drive anyway demonstrates your disrespect of law. If you ever want to have your license you will need to demonstrate responsible behavior, because you have given the RMV every reason to think you should not have a license. Is there anything besides immaturity that is contributing to the reckless behavior? is it possible you don't see the road signs? the danger? When I have represented minors on thingslike this, I go to teh registry with recent eye exams, ADHD evaluations and something that might explain the behavior so as to rule out ongoing danger if given a license. By the way, the insurance co might refuse to cover any accident by an unlicensed driver too, so you should think about impact on your family. Good luck with your appeal.
