If the estate was probated, you should have been contacted as a creditor. If you were not contacted check with the probate court in the county the person passed and inquire if you can still file a claim.
There are usually deadlines.
You need to submit your claim in writing to the Personal Rep. and take a copy of your claim and file it with the Clerk in the County where the Estate is Pending. Do not delay, as the mere passage of time can affect your right to recover.
