I have learned my husband in nv filed for divorce,I'm staying at my parents in Ca As husband kicked me out of my house, someone came to parents house and asked for me stating he has divorce papers from my husband, I was not home and my mom told him this, he left with no further discussion. My parents live in a rural property and the gates are locked due to undesirables in the area, do I have to be personally served or what can I expect? Thank you
You’ve been served. Expect to be expected to respond.
This is general advice. You are anonymous. If you PM me i won’t know what it’s about.
Although they didn't leave the papers you have now been put on Notice of the pending filing and should make arrangements to receive the papers and respond
Please be aware that any comments that I have made are preliminary and tentative and not based upon a thorough analysis of your case. I would need additional information and review the exact documentation to be sure of the above advice. The answer above does not create an attorney/client relationship and does not require me to answer any future questions.
