After 5 years of working with county they have abandoned me in the fact that rental house next to me has overflow of septic water damaging my backyard. No action is being taken by the county environmental department. I cannot use my shed due to water draining all down my backyard. I had the West Nile virus in 2012 and I do not need this standing water. I am almost retirement age and supporting a disabled adult son. The house next door was not supposed to be sold per Rankin Count Environment Dept however it was sold “as is” by the previous owner who is on probation but also works for the county. The new owner is a director at BCBS of MS and ultimately does not care that this matter is ruining my property value. I don’t have the means to hire an attorney but all of this is so wrong to be done to me. I have plenty of pictures. I don’t know what to do at this point. Rankin County is in the wrong and so is the new owner. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
