My condo board sent me a letter that it's not their problem. I've had to sleep in a motel at times, now have high blood pressure and migraines. The neighbor replaced the compressor which made it not as much like an ongoing earthquake in here but still there is a loud deep hum that wakes me up and I hear as I bathe, watch tv, or do anything, and can feel vibrations in the furniture and hear pipes rattling in the walls. They also allowed me at my own expense to hire an A/C company which tried to fix t he problem but failed. I have found a company that knows what to do about it finally but the people that own the condenser claim they won't cooperate with me anymore and have done enough even though I will pay for the fix. Help! My home is unlivable now due to this.In my town there is no noise law at all for air conditioners and I've had code enforcement officers here and they heard it but say there is no law or code against it. The police will not enforce the state law that says everyone has a right to quiet enjoyment of their home. The neighbor claims he can't hear it when he comes in my apartment. They act like I"m bothering them by telling them about the ongoing problem, and don't think they should be bothered by me. I am willing to pay all costs to fix it!
