My wife Aunt drove our vehicle and had an accident, which resulted in the car being totaled. Our insurance on the car only covers named drivers. The Aunt only carries liability coverage. The accident took place in Newark, NJ. Our Aunt retained an attorney and I was contacted by the attorney who stated they would get the car paid through insurance. Said the case was 90% in the bag as the police report showed the accident was not our Aunt fault. Lawyer arranged to have car taken to a body shop for repair. When the car was inspected and noted as totaled due to frame being bent and air bags deployment. The other party pushed for court hearing on accident. Our Aunt and her lawyer then stop all communication and I was told to get a lawyer if I wanted my car and storage fees paid.
