If he has physically hurt you or if he has verbally threatened to hurt you in a way that made you feel in imminent fear of danger, you can file what is called a Request for a Civil Protection Order. If it is granted, he will have to stay away from your house. In some communities, they have mental health units on wheels. If somebody is afraid that another is seriously mentally ill and dangerous to themselves or others, they call that unit and a mental health professional will come to the location where the mentally ill person is, evaluate them and decide whether or not they should be hospitalized for observation. I don't know if they have such a thing in Lancaster, Ohio. You might want to check, though. Otherwise, I would start the eviction process or change the locks to he can't get in. If he breaks your windows or destroys things, ask the police to arrest him for criminal damaging, disorderly conduct, something.
If he is an adult, you can evict him. Serve him with a 3 day notice to vacate (forms available online) and if he does not leave, you can file an actual forcible entry and detainer complaint (eviction) complaint against him. Once filed with the court, the entire process could take up to 45 days. But, this is also something you should address with your wife first.
