My husband helped his mother get DCF to give her my children using my disability that I live with but much better without this Stress! I come down with a bad case of Bronchitis and DCF comes here with Pen and Paper tricking me to sign but never getting a copy of it , they told me that my kids will go to a foster home if I did not sign it. My car broke down and because I did not make it to court, I lose my parental rights?! My husband is violent when I ask him and I have been through Domestic Violence where they put him across the street and say OK STAY there, not 500 ft. I am lucky I am mobile. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME. I was involved with a High Profile attorney 15 years ago and it is being used against me too. My children are not here for dcf to kidnap
You indicate that you signed papers and that your children have been placed with their Paternal Grandmother.
You indicate that you had car trouble and did not make it to Court for the hearing.
While this situation is clearly an unhappy one for you, it is very unlikely that you have had your Parental Rights terminated after missing just one hearing.
You should contact that investigating social worker, explain you were unable to get to Court due to car problems and ask when is the next court hearing? how do I contact the law firm providing attorneys for parents that the Court appoints? please help me to set up a visitation schedule with my children.
You should also call the Court and ask the same questions.
Finally, you would be well advised to hire a local experienced attorney who specializes in child abuse and neglect matters.
I hope this helps.
