My son is locked up in Wisconsin he made me power of attorney can I get the papers notarized in NC
A notary must personally witness your son's signature in order for his power of attorney instrument to be valid. He perhaps can arrange for a notary at the detention center to witness his signature, or ask for a local lawyer to visit him there, either with a notary accompanying him/her or as a notary him/herself. Best regards.
