I have this awful neighbor he lives in another state. But, in the last 2 months he has sued the other 2 neighbors near me. Verbally attacked me and threatened me with a law suit. All the civil suits he's filed are based on untruths. He's crazy and I'm afraid of him. He carries a gun and admitted to beating his wife.
We really can't answer this question online. More information is needed about the type of lawsuits, threats, etcetera. In general, if sued frivolously, you hire an attorney, defend the lawsuit and either get it dismissed or win on summary judgment. If he lives out of state, he has to come back here for hearings and trials (I am assuming he is filing pro se), so what are the chances he will even show up if the lawsuit is vigorously defended? Consult a local attorney with the specifics. An attorney needs to review all of the specific allegations as well as the pleadings filed against the other parties. If this person is unstable, it's best not to share anything too specific on a public forum like this.
