Please accept my condolences on your loss. Your question went out to us PA attorneys because you put Langhorne as your location. You need to reach Florida attorneys, because probate/estate law is different from one state to the next.
Post your question again and put down a town in the area where your mom lived as your current location. That will prompt the Avvo computer to send your question out to attorneys who practice in Florida. Or just cut to the chase and contact an attorney in that area of Florida and get some independent and private advice, which is what I think you'll need to do anyway.
Note that there is no "Florida forum" as such on Avvo -- questions are sorted in accordance with where the questioner says he or she lives, and then sent to attorneys who practice that type of law in the appropriate state.
I have a private practice in Malvern, PA, and I welcome new clients. Contact me privately for further information through my website, www.RabinLawOffices.com or by telephone at 484-875-3023. My answer to your question is not to be considered legal advice, just general information based on my knowledge and experience, and the fact that I answered your question does not create a lawyer-client relationship between us. That would have to commence more formally.
this will all be governed by Florida law, given your mother's residence there. You should re-post in Florida forum. Sorry for your loss.
