She has been there for 4 days without seeing a judge. How long does it take usually. When she does see a judge will he let her out she violated by not completing community service she was in rehab
The judge in Broward will probably give Palm Beach a week or two to pick your mom up. After she is picked up, she'll be taken back to Palm Beach to answer for the VOP. Judges do not normally release defendants who are alleged to have violated the terms of their probation, but rehab does sound like a pretty good reason for not completing community service hours on time, especially if the rehab was court-ordered.
What the family should consider doing is hiring an attorney ASAP, and placing a motion before the judge that issued the arrest warrant in Palm Beach County: or in the alternative, reaching out to the Palm Beach State Attorney in charge of your mother's case. If you can convince that prosecutor or judge as to why her hours were not completed, maybe you could have either of them agree to a bond for your mother. If not, then she will just have to sit in jail in Broward until Palm Beach drives down to pick her up. Good luck
Your Mother could sit in jail for several weeks until transported to West Palm. You need to hire an attorney in Palm Beach asap. The attorney may be able to obtain your Moms release on bond or at least expedite getting her being transported. If Mom was in rehab and that's the only reason she couldn't complete her community service hours a good lawyer will not only get her home he'll get the vop dismissed. Good luck.
