My lawyer recently settled my case against an ex roommate by offering them 30 days to leave and back- rent forgiven. The 30 days are up this Friday and I was under the impression that the sheriff's would lock them out that day- we were charged a "sheriff's processing fee" the same day of the trial. I asked my lawyer why I hadn't received the warrant for removal and his answer is that he hasn't received it. His answer is rather vague and I would appreciate it if someone could explain the process for my situation. Should the warrant for removal be in place already?
