My initial contract was voided by the contractor, do I need to sign the second contract?
Also, the contract has a section that states. “Additional right to cancel: in addition to any rights you may have to cancel this agreement under section 8 below and under section 1 of the general terms and conditions, you may cancel this agreement, including any subsequent amendments, at no cost at any time prior to commencement of construction on your home” does this mean I can back out even if I signed the original contract, as long as they have not started construction? Which they have not yet.

I would strongly suggest that you have an attorney review any sort of construction contract that you sign. These contracts are often one-sided and do not provide you with the protections that you need and to which you are entitled. You should also check references and licenses for anyone performing work on your property.
