That is not the law. If you are off work for a week because you cannot perform your job due to a work-related injury, then you become entitled to temporary total disability ("TTD") benefits @ 2/3 of your average weekly wage (subject to state maximum), and if you are off for 2 weeks you are entitled to those benefits from day one.
