I am very concerned with my friend she is 17 and stripping in a strip club. She also told me about the back room. I get that she is just trying to make money. But she is also drinking and she is doing more then stripping and admits that... Isn't that against the law ? she is even recruiting people... I am worried and don't know what to do this seems illegal. Her dad knows but he doesn't care this is just not right. What can i do to help her get on the right path?
Your question is complex and more of a social question than a legal one. You disagree with choices your friend makes, and she has no parental guide and even thinks that others should do the same as her. The best you can do is encourage better choices because you cannot simply substitute your views for hers. There can be legal problems with her choices, and a criminal record can have a future impact on your friend. A start would be to have open discussion with your friend to see if your care and concern for her can help her make better choices.
The response provided is intended to provide information only, and is not intended to be relied upon as legal advice. This is true for a number of reasons, including there being no attorney client relationship formed, not having complete information about the situation, not knowing the record of the person involved, not knowing the legal process thus far, and a host of other things. The way to get legal advice from which decisions can be made is to hire and consult with an attorney who is both knowledgeable in the legal area of concern and who knows the details of both the client and the case.
