My friend is stressing if he should get an attorney. He was taken in for being drunk in public. I was at the scene and he was pushing everyone away who was trying to help him get home. He socked me and pushed his girlfriend who fell on the floor. Nobody was hurt but apparently he also spit at a police officer. This is his first offense and he is in his last year at a local university. He has apologized to everyone and doesn't recall anything. Whats the best thing he should do?
Best thing he can do is hire an attorney, last thing he needs this close to graduation is for this to ruin his goals
By saying I do not remember and by saying he is sorry is not going to make everything go away.
A blackout is a serious matter. He should seek counseling for his drinking problem.
The issue as to whether to get an attorney is a no brainer.
He already knows the answer. He is simply being pennywise and dollar foolish and risking the rest of his life
