My fiance is from Nigeria but has lived in Greece for the last 7 years. After his interview on Oct. 1,2014 the officer informed him that his birth certificate was the document that he needed and the k1 visa couldn't be issued without it. They gave him a refusal letter under 221g. He received the birth certificate from NNEWI and took it to the embassy. The officer took his passport and new fingerprints. She said they would contact him, but yet our case is in administrative processing. What if anything can we do?
Now you have done all you can do. Administrative processing means the "you can't rush this" security and background checks. When they are done, and it could take days weeks or months, then all will likely be well.
