We applied for his visa in 2010. I am an American born and raised citizen. His interview was on June 27,2011. This entire process of waiting has started to affect my mental and physical health. All I want to do is get married to my fiancée. This distance is really starting to take its toll on us. Please is there anyway to expedite the process? He has no criminal record what so ever, and neither does his family. Please help. God Bless. At the time of the interview the embassy even kept his passport, what more can I do?
It is not possible to expedite administrative processing of a visa application.
Please note that by answering this question an attorney client relationship is not created. My answer is general information based on the facts provided in the question. Detailed and accurate advice may only be given once a lawyer is able to meet with a person to assess the totality of a person's circumstances.
You cannot expedite the visa process. You can make inquiries. I also suggest consulting with an experienced immigration attorney, there are many in the Orlando area.
The answer provided here is general in nature and does not take into account other factors that may need to be reviewed for a more precise answer. You should consult with an immigration attorney before taking any action. The answer here is not intended to create an attorney-client relationship.
Thanks for your inquiry. Administrative processing is code for the consulate is going to take its own sweet time to do what needs to be done. I would suggest considering the use of our federal court system to handle this matter. You can hire a dozen attorneys to make a dozen inquiries and there is little that you can do to render a guess as to when your fiancee will receive a decision. Go to federal court and the government is placed on a 60 day window to get an answer back tl you. Going to federal court does not guarantee a result that you want. But i can readily assure you that filing suit will get the government folks moving along to resolving the problem.
Having handled well over 100 suits against CIS and the Department of State, we can offer an aggressive approach aimed at getting an answer and hopefully working thru whatever difficulties you and your fiance are experiencing.
