He doesn’t pay support and has not lived up to his property settlement either. He is ordered to pay very low child support because he claims to have no income. He opened a small restaurant recently and received a liquor license for it. He has traveled to South America and Mexico at least twice this year. I thought that licenses and passports were curtailed by the state for people in arrears for child support.
What is your question? If the obligee (the person to whom money is owed) believes the failure to pay is contemptuous, that parent can seek to enforce the child support order on their own, or else contact the Department of Social Services to see if the State will get involved.
