You will need to bring an action asking the court to declare him to be the father of the child and enter an order of child support. He will need to be served. In order to do it correctly, you should schedule a consultation with an experienced family law attorney who regularly practices in the county where your and the child reside to determine how best to proceed.

I've redirected this question from Life Insurance to Family Law. Most States have a process wherein child support and maintenance can be legally established between non married parents of a child. I would suggest using the Find a Lawyer app of this site to locate a Family/Domestic attorney in your area and follow up with a consultation. Good luck,
