She is on probation for Driving on a Suspended DL. She wants to move back home to this County Indian River and she is on county Probation in Franklin County Fl can she transfer her probation and if so what do we need to do?
Yes you may in most cases. First, have her ask her probation officer the procedure and if there is any objection. Sometimes they will arrange for reporting by mail and you will save the hassle of having to go to court. Otherwise, she will have to put her case on calendar for a motion to transfer probation. You may also hire an attorney to do that if you do not want to worry about it. Good luck.
If this answer helped you, please be so kind as to mark it "helpful" or "best answer". This would be greatly appreciated. She should be able to transfer. Make sure the probation officer does not have an objection and then file a motion before the judge that sentenced her.
You can probably transfer the probation. Tell the probation officer and they will be happy to do it. But Mr. Quirantes made a very good point about trying to get write in probation. That would be the best option if she can get it.
