I have 2 children both under the age of 7 that were subpoena along with me in a Domestic Violence case. I do not want my children to be traumatized by this experience by being forced to testify. And on top of that, they are too young. What should I do in this matter? Should I just not bring them? Should I seek an attorney in this matter?
A subpoena can be challenged depending on the circumstances, but I would suggest that you consult an attorney who knows and can apply the applicable legal rules to your situation to see if your children's court appearance can be prevented and to take the steps to do so.
My response to any question does not create an attorney-client relationship and does not constitute legal advice. Please seek to retain my services if you would like to hire me as your attorney (202) 870 - 3021.
