back child support was established by the courts a few years back. Upon my son's graduation the father (my ex-husband) started paying, but after much wining and begging, I agreed to let him make smaller payments (even though it was hard for me) because I know how hard it is to be on your own. The total still being the same it would take much longer to pay off. He paid for a couple of years then took me to court to try to reduce or stop the order, but the judge said he needed to continue paying as ordered. he cried and his attorney morally blacked mailed me until he made me cry and so I agreed to reduce the monthly amount as I had done before, but the total would stay the same. Last year my ex/son's father decided he didn't want to pay anymore after my son graduated from college. But the debt is with me not with his son. What is my next step? how do I get all the information for the income deduction order I need to send to the court?, it says I need to send it to my ex first then the court then his employer. What if he doesn't want to sign and how do I find out where he works and all of that? would my case number be the same as in the previous court order?
You should file a motion for contempt and enforcement with the court. Same case number. Speak with a family law attorney as to the proper steps. Many offer free or low cost consultations.
