I want to know if I would get the 2 years green card or the 10 years, our anniversary was in 23 December 2019 and we got approved on January 8 2020.
I appreciate your answers
Assuming you mean your two year wedding/marriage date anniversary, you should be receiving your 10 year green card (meaning your lawful permanent resident card instead of the conditional permanent resident card). Congratulations.
Remember, once you receive your green card, if you are married to a U.S. Citizen, you may be able to apply for citizenship after 3 years. Here’s a bit more information on that topic from one of my blog posts: http://www.marronglaw.com/blog-summary/2017/12/14/naturalization-3-year-rule-for-spouses-of-us-citizens.
Best wishes and feel free to give me a call at 817-213-6760 if you have any other questions.
If your application was approved after your 2 year wedding anniversary, you will receive a 10 year permanent residency card, and not a conditional residency card.
