My car was hit at an Oasis filling station- the other driver hit my door and damaged it as I was exiting my car to pump. Fault?

You should file a police report, and you should contact both your and his insurance carrier. The fault appears to lie with the other driver, but you want your insurer to pull the laboring oar for you. I am not sure, but I have had situations where a rate will not rise if the other driver is found 100% responsible.
If you were injured, keep track of your medical information and 1) cooperate with an assigned attorney from your insurer and better yet, 2) hire your own attorney.
