Do I show up? To I have to file that I am not in agreement with him quoting ? I have paid $11,000 the bill is now up to $30,000. I questioned his charges and representation , I feel like a victim and he is not fighting for me, I just feel attacked that everyone is dishonest and not my best interest which I made clear to him. I do like him though I just want to feel more secure . And I don't want to start all over with a new Attourney. Will it look bad if I don't show up to the hearing? Or will it be worse because it will be public record what is talked about in court , if they even allow me to talk for myself,
Based on the information provided, the court will allow the attorney to withdraw from representing you. Unless it is close to trial, the Court will 99% of the time allow an attorney to withdraw from representation. You could show up and advise the Court that you are in the process of obtaining new legal counsel and that all matters should be continued for 60 days. If you dispute their billing, you may want to contact the Nevada state bar.
